I'm not a fan of this logo, it looks more suitable for '86 than '96.

Now the tilted E is circled, even Dell can't touch it anymore:

The death of magnificent designer coincides with the death of a malevolent company. How ironic. Or should I say how "enronic".

It's ironic that Rand's last logo also signals the death of a particular form of corporate life. It's also sad. Clunky or not, at least there's an idea in there. I give Rand credit for always delivering on the concept...formally questionable or not.

I hate this logo, and I hate Dell twisted 'E'
even more. Now, dell has the nerves to
use JUST THE E @45 deg as the company logo.

It's sad to discover this horrid piece of "nephew-art" was a Rand design. It's even worse in color. Good riddance.

From a formal point of view, I always found the Enron logo to be particularly clunky, ill-resolved,
and amateurish. It was certainly not one of Mr. Rand's better creations.

lets also not forget the UPS sheild, another Rand creation, which also took a recent fall at the hands of the publicity-market, only to be replaced by a bastardized version of its former self; Rand is dead, Long live Paul Rand.

This was made in '96? Looks older than that. I guess the logo says it all. The company was having a hard time balancing itself.

I never realized Mr Rand made this logo. And I also never realized how similar the Dell Computers E is to Enron. :)

One could just tell by looking at the Enron logo that the company was operationally dysfunctional.

Terrible logo!...
Paul Rand himself once said, "A logo is great only when the company it symbolizes is great." Perhaps the Enron design is, in fact, perfect after all..

I believe employees of Enron dubbed this logo "the Crooked E" - years before the revelations.

I don't think the deceit and corruption of Enron will be missed! Has anyone considered how conveniently the whole Enron scandal was forgotten about, once the 'War on Terror' kicked in?

Wow – I didn't realise that this was a Paul Rand creation... Another deceptively simple design, that is rich in layered ideas and associations.
