I absolutely love this logo as 'Spratt' is my name and I am heavily involved in animal nutrition. I will continue to cherish this logo!

This logo is so cute, and somehow the type has such a warm personality like a real animal. Poor Spratts...

Spratts still exists though is no longer a large company; they still food for game birds. They are owned by someone in the South of Scotland, Game & Country Enterprises in Selkirk.

I always found this logotype magical. It's naive yet sophisticated. In a single expression it communicates both the name and essence of the product. Spratts R.I.P.

if you buy the book 'Logo R.I.P.' you'll find all the answers to your questions; as there is an obituary for every commemorated logo.

It's a really nice logo, it looks very stylish to me - it reminds me the Shark energy drink logo. Really good idea and well realised... rest in peace, Spratts :L

It was the first marque I remember seeing as a child and has been a profound influence on me as a graphic designer.

Spratts did not just produce dog food, there was a whole series of these calligrams depicting a fish, a cat and a bird. All have a charm and a humanistic touch that is so badly missing from contemporary commercial design.
